A private family is looking for a native English-speaking Governess / English-speaking companion for their 12-year-old daughter in Moscow, Gagarinsky District.
The main goal of the position is to create a natural and engaging English-speaking environment for the girl and encourage her to communicate more confidently.
The girl is rather introverted, so the ideal candidate should be warm, patient and naturally engaging, with the ability to build trust and gradually encourage her to open up and speak more.
English must be the only language used during the time together — no communication in Russian.

Requirements :

Native English speaker — essential.
Previous experience working with children, teenagers or as a Governess / Tutor / English-speaking Nanny.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build a trusting relationship with an introverted teenager.
Warm, patient and emotionally intelligent personality.
Naturally engaging and able to keep a conversation going.
Ability to communicate exclusively in English and maintain an English-only environment.
Professional, reliable and punctual approach.

Duties :

Meet the girl after school.
Accompany her home or spend time together after school.
Communicate exclusively in English.
Engage the girl in natural, age-appropriate conversation.
Discuss everyday topics, interests, school, hobbies, books, films, current events and other subjects.
Encourage the girl to express her thoughts and opinions in English.
Help develop conversational fluency, vocabulary and confidence.
Create a relaxed and positive environment where the child feels comfortable speaking.
Gradually encourage a more open and active communication style.
Suggest interesting activities, discussions and topics based on the girl’s interests.

Language :

English – C2 – Fluent or native

Compensation:

from 5000 per hour, to be discussed with the successful candidate

Schedule:

Regular work, Part-time working day, Monday to Thursday. 2–3 days per week initially. Approximately 1 hour per day, after school. The schedule will be coordinated around the girl’s school timetable. The number of working days/hours may increase in the future depending on the family’s needs and the girl’s progress.
