Learning Objectives

Primary Goal: Prepare for IGCSE First Language English (Cambridge 0500)
and successful transition to a British boarding school by age 14
Preferred Methodology: Academic, exam-focused approach with emphasis on essay
writing, literary analysis, and critical thinking. Occasional immersion activities (discussions, debates, film analysis) to build fluency.

Candidate Requirements

Nationality / Language Status: Native English speaker from the UK only (preference for British accent and familiarity with UK education system)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Education, or
Linguistics from a UK university. PGCE or QTS strongly
preferred. Experience with Cambridge IGCSE syllabus is
essential.
Work Experience: Minimum 4 years teaching English to teenagers (ages 11–16),
preferably in a UK school or as a private tutor preparing
students for IGCSE / GCSE. Experience with Russian-speaking
students is a plus.
References: At least 2 verifiable references from schools or families,
including one from an IGCSE preparation context
Additional Skills: Ability to explain grammar clearly, experience with online
learning platforms (Google Classroom, Quizlet), interest in
history or science to connect with the student’s hobbies
