About the Children
Children 2 children: daughter, 5 years old; son, 8 years old
Current English Level: Daughter — zero / beginner (knows colors and numbers); Son— A1 (can read simple words, understands basic instructions)
Interests & Hobbies Daughter — drawing, dancing, playing with dolls, swimming;
Son — LEGO, football, chess, science experiments. Both love
animals and nature walks.
Learning Objectives
Primary Goal: Prepare both children for entry into an international school
(British curriculum) within 2 years
Preferred Methodology: Full immersion (English-only environment during working
hours) with play-based learning for the daughter and
structured academic approach for the son
Work Format
Employment Type: Live-in governess (resides with the family)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM (with a 2-hour break
during children’s school/nap time). Saturday — half day (9:00
AM – 1:00 PM) if needed for activities or travel.
Days Off: Sunday + one flexible weekday afternoon. One full weekend
off per month guaranteed.
Escort & Travel: Yes — accompany children to school (5 min walk), to
football/swimming lessons, and on family trips abroad 2–3
times per year (Europe, UAE, Maldives).
Candidate Requirements
Gender: Female preferred (but open to male candidates with
exceptional experience)
Age: 25–45 years old
Nationality / Language Status: Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Linguistics, Early
Childhood Development, or related field. Teaching
qualification (PGCE, TEFL/TESOL with YL specialization) is a
strong plus.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years as a governess or private tutor for children
aged 4–10. Live-in experience with Russian-speaking families
is highly desirable.
References: At least 2 verifiable references from previous families
required
Additional Skills: Ability to play a musical instrument (piano/guitar), art/crafts,
swimming supervision, basic cooking for children. Knowledge
of phonics and early literacy programs (Jolly Phonics, Read
Write Inc.) is a big advantage.
Location & Conditions
City / District: Moscow, Rublyovka (Odintsovo district, 15 km west of city
center)
Nearest Metro / Landmark: Molodezhnaya metro station (15 min by car). House is in a
gated cottage community with playground, forest nearby.
Accommodation: Separate furnished room on the second floor with private
bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV, small fridge. Separate entrance possible
if preferred. The room is 18 m², bright, overlooks the garden.
Salary: $3,500 – $5,000 USD net per month (depending on
experience and qualifications). Paid in rubles at the Central
Bank rate.
Meals: All meals provided (family has a housekeeper who cooks;
governess is welcome to join family meals or cook for herself)
Probation Period: 1 month with weekly feedback sessions
Additional Information
Pets: One golden retriever (very friendly, lives outside). No
allergies in the family.
Personal Preferences: Looking for someone warm, patient, and energetic — a “big
sister” figure rather than a strict disciplinarian. Must be tidy,
non-smoker, and lead a healthy lifestyle. The governess
should be comfortable working alongside a housekeeper and
a nanny (who cares for the youngest toddler, 1.5 years old,
separately)
