Private English Tutor — Live-in position — Moscow, Hamovniki district

Start Date: October 15, 2026

Children: 2 children — son, 6 years old; daughter, 10 years old

Current English Level: Son — zero / beginner (knows alphabet and basic greetings); Daughter — A2 (can hold simple conversations, reads short chapter books)

Primary Goal: Prepare the son for entry into an international school (IB curriculum) within 18 months; support the daughter in reaching B1 level.

Preferred Methodology: Full immersion during all working hours. Play-based and project-based learning for the son; structured academic sessions with creative writing focus for the daughter.

Employment Type: Live-in governess (resides with the family)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (with a 2-hour break during school hours). Saturday — half day (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) for extracurricular activities or museum visits.

Days Off: Sunday + one flexible weekday afternoon. One full weekend off per month guaranteed.

Escort & Travel: Yes — accompany children to school (10 min drive), to ballet/tennis lessons, and on family vacations 3–4 times per year (Switzerland, Italy, Southeast Asia).

Age: 28–50 years old

Nationality / Language Status: Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, or New Zealand

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English Literature, or Early Childhood Development. Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or TEFL/TESOL with YL certification) is required.

Work Experience: Minimum 4 years as a governess or private tutor for children aged 5–12. Experience with Russian-speaking families and familiarity with the IB or British curriculum is highly desirable.

References: At least 2 verifiable references from previous families or schools required.

City / District: Moscow, Hamovniki (central district, near Luzhniki Stadium and Frunzenskaya embankment)

Accommodation: Separate furnished studio (25 m²) on the top floor with private bathroom, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, and mini kitchen.

Salary: $4,000 net per month. Paid in rubles at the Central Bank rate.

Meals: All meals provided

Probation Period: 6 weeks

Pets: Two British Shorthair cats (indoor). No allergies in the family.

Personal Preferences: Looking for someone calm, intellectually curious, and organized — a mentor figure who can inspire a love of learning. Must be a non-smoker, tidy, and comfortable working alongside a housekeeper, driver, and a part-time nanny for the toddler (2 years old, cared for separately).
